Your handcrafted pen contains an authentic piece of fabric from Miss Piggy’s(Emily Cratchit) dress used in the production of The Muppets Christmas Carol (1992). Miss Piggy’s/Emily Cratchit’s dress was constructed of a rayon plaid fabric by the costuming department. The swatch was a part of a larger fabric obtained by Stephen Rotondaro, an Emmy Award-winning Jim Henson employee who kept the swatch after production.The Muppet Christmas Carol is a musical retelling of Charles Dickens’s classic story in which the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is confronted on Christmas Eve by  the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and three spirits who show him his past mistakes, the joy and hardship of the present, and the  bleak future that awaits if he refuses to change.  Through these visits, Scrooge witnesses the kindness  of those he has mistreated, especially his loyal employee Bob Cratchit and his family, and learns the value of compassion, generosity, and community.  By Christmas morning, he is transformed into a joyful, caring man who embraces the holiday and spreads goodwill to everyone around him.
